Mom's Day!

So I discovered for the first time a day called Mother's Day! It was fun. It was all about celebrating moms. We started the day off having some morning treats with grand-maman and grand-papa. Les matantes Jumelles were also there with their cousin Michelle and it was fun. We sat in the backyard that mom calls the bee colony and I napped after grand-papa walked me around in the stroller. Then in the afternoon, maman and papa took me to Rockcliffe Park and they rollerbladed the paths along the Aviation Parkway while pushing me in my stroller. Yeeeeee that was fun. I hope they go again. Then for dinner, Nana came over and she pushed me in my stroller while we took Fender for a walk. It was a nice full day packed with fun activities and fun people. This family thing is great! I love each and everyone of them and they love me.

Maman's birthday

Tuesday was maman's birthday and she turned 32....opps, I am not supposed to say that. Old people don't like to share their age. Notice the ribbon on my head. Maman said she didn't need any presents this year because she already has the best present she could ever get and she doesn't need anything else....that's me! That's why she put the ribbon on my head. Silly maman. She also put it on Fender and he was cute but didn't like it so much. See the picture below. I pooped on grand-papa and he didn't even know. Tee hee. Papa had to give him a t-shirt to wear home. Maman says good thing I am soooo cute. Grand-maman and grand-papa and Camille brought some muffins for maman and they each had a candle on them. Fun. One day there will be candles for me. I wonder what kind of treat I will get.

Julian's first day at the park

Mommy and I enjoyed a beautiful day outside. I have gone for many walks already but today was extra special. It started with a long walk to the Bridgehead on Beechwood where mommy got herself a hot decaf coffee. She then headed to Stanley park and I took a nice little nap. There's nothing finer than napping in the outdoors where you get a nice warm breeze on your face and fresh air to breath.
Once at the park, mommy sat on the swing and I sat on her lap and she swung back and forth. That was lots of fun. There was a little girl about 4 years old beside us that was going so high. She was also having fun and I think that one day I will be able to go high like she was. Mommy said she would push me high like that. I think I will like it lots.
Then she sat me down on this green stuff called grass. It was prickly and soft all at the same time. I gripped it with my fingers and pulled and some came off. Neat stuff. Try it. It was nice and soft to sit on. After this, mommy let me stand in the sand. I didn't get to feel it in my toes but she said that next time she will take my Robeez off so I can feel the sand between my toes. So far, the park is my favorite place other than home, and my grand-parents place. Mommy said we can go every day if it's nice. I'll get her to take more pictures of our trips. Stay tuned.

Bye bye Matante Julie

Mommy told me that you are leaving for 3 months Matante-Travel and it made me oh so sad. It feels like you just got back from your travels and again you leave. Mommy tells me that it's part of your job and that Brazilia is very exciting. As long as you get back before mommy goes back to work so we can have some fun summer time together. Boy oh boy do I miss my matante already. I promise that I will update this blog alot so you can feel like you are right there with me and mommy on our fun adventures. Je t'aime beaucoup et bon voyage!

Torture...I mean Fitness with Jules

So Mommy went to a new fitness class on Tuesday and she said she hurt lots and lots but she said that's good. I on the other hand am not so sure about the class because everyone is trying to play with my toys...and mommy said this is good too because it means I have friends. This is me and my friend Hayden. He is abit older than me and can roll around. I hope to be able to do that soon because he looks like he is having so much fun. Mommy said we are going to that fitness class again today so I will try and share my toys today with my friends. Mommy wants me to be happy so she can do her workout and hurt even more. Adults are funny...putting themselves through torture. Weird.
Oh how I love the Exersaucer. This one is cool because it pivots so it makes me feel like I am walking. Maybe I will let my friend Hayden try it out this time. I bet he will love it too.

Spring at last

Now for a little boy who loves to be naked, he is very happy about this hotter weather we just had this past weekend. Here he is sporting the shades and 'chapeau' just like his papa. He was very content hanging out in grand-maman and grand-papa's backyard with the matantes and g-mom and g-pop while mom and dad were at the design centre finishing the picks for the new kitchen, bathrooms and carpet. Gladhe likes it because we plan on spending lots of time there this summer since my backyard is no place for a little one in teh condition that it's at. Too bad, because I have spent enough time and money on this house that the buyer can have one project for when they move in....landscaping.
Julian was having such a blast just hanging out on grand-maman's lap here.

Future Sens Captain

Yes that's right. You are looking at the future Captain of the Senators. No pressure Jules, no pressure. In all honesty, we were just getting ready to cheer on the Sens last week and what ended up being a great game winning the Sens the series against the Penguins. Now we just await the next series where the Sens will 'kill' again.

Poor thing

Julian had his 6 month doctors appointment today. All is well and going in the right direction. He is now 18 lbs 2 oz and 27 inches long (he is showing at the top of the growth charts). The poor little man got another 2 shots in his legs and he was so upset. When he was younger he would cry but only a few seconds. Now it's like he knows something more is going on and gets upset afterwards. He was looking at me expecting me to fix it. What he doesn't know is I drove him there. One day he will understand that it's all out of love. I took him out of the car and placed him on the couch but he kept sleeping and I don't have the heart to wake him up. That was one hour ago....

Like father like son

Yup, just increase his size a few times over and you have his dad...sitting on the couch, remote in hand, drool trickleling down his lip, stripped one piece pyjama's (tee hee)...great...
Honestly though, isn't this cute. He loves to play with the remote and may have figured out that by pushing certain buttons, something much bigger happens on that big box on the other side of the livingroom. He can't keep his eyes off any hockey game. Takes notes my dear cause you'll be on skates in no time.

Skipping class already

Today Julian and I skipped out on our fitness class (tee hee) and hung out with grand-maman and grand-papa instead. Much more fun I have to say. Fitness class would have been more challenging but we did have one challenge though...trying to feed the little man while grand-maman was distracting him. Now that's challenging. He has more interested in her than his cereal/prune filled spoon. It took a while but he finished his bowl. What an appetite he has. He'll be taller than papa in no time.

Also other then fitness class, we did some shopping with Mel. That certainly was more fun and yes challenging as well. I used to be able to go shopping and pick stuff off the rack without trying it on and always being bang on....not so much anymore. I am 3 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight but I have to say, the body is different and I really don't know what I want anymore. What is cool now. I have been living in my Lululemon pants for so long that I don't know what I like or should be wearing. I need Stacey and Clinton's help from 'What not to wear'.
